Maya’s Golden Rule for Renters

Always test adhesives in a hidden corner first

Rental paint is notoriously cheap flat builder-grade latex. Before mounting a whole gallery wall, place a test strip inside a closet or behind a door for 72 hours, then remove it slowly at 180 degrees. If the paint holds, you’re clear to decorate.

About The Nest Loop

Hi, I’m Maya

I’ve been renting for twelve years across six apartments and four cities. After losing a security deposit over four nail holes (yes, really), I started testing every removable decor product I could find.

Now I share what actually works — and what definitely doesn’t.
